Applied systems engineering

Build what outlives you.

Applied systems engineering for organisations navigating the AI era.

We design operational systems that help organisations think more clearly, work more effectively, and improve continuously.

01 / What we do

A lab, not a vendor.

Every organisation is perfectly designed for the results it produces. We start there. Before anything is built, we map how work actually moves - where decisions wait, where information is re-entered, where accountability goes quiet.

What follows is structure: an architecture the organisation can operate itself, and software that holds that structure in place. Our products are the evidence of the method, not a catalogue.

Consulting is one expression of the lab. Discovery, architecture and delivery carry commercial rigour - they are simply not the headline.

Principles, practice, and where consulting fits

Structure before scale.

What endures is built beneath the surface.

02 / Products & research

The evidence

Six systems in build or research. Each one answers a question the method raised.

A Conservation Leadership Training Platform

A multi-tenant workforce capability system for protected-area organisations. Architecture, scoring mechanics, and what went wrong along the way.

Governed Autonomous Workbench (GAW)

A governed operating layer for organisations entering the agentic era. Autonomous work runs inside review, policy, and accountability.

Flagship — active development Authors Edit

Agentic SDLC

A software delivery methodology where humans direct autonomous engineering under governance, review, and clear ownership.

Research & methodology Authors Edit

Life Tree

A personal systems platform for long-term planning, decision support, and life visualisation.

Research Authors Edit

GH600 Knowledge System

A structured learning framework documenting the acquisition and application of advanced AI engineering capability.

Research Authors Edit

Leadwood Website

This website. Static-first, self-managed, no CMS dependency at runtime. Built as a demonstration of our own engineering philosophy.

03 / How we work

One loop, run slowly.

The loop closes. Knowledge stays with the organisation, not with us. Select a stage to see what it involves and what you're left holding.

01 — Discovery

We sit with the people doing the work. Not workshops — shadowing, interviews, artefacts. We learn what actually happens, not what the org chart says happens.

05 / Contact

Start a conversation with the lab.

Tell us how the work moves today. We will tell you, plainly, whether we are the right people for it.
